PAUL D. JACKSON
Paul D. Jackson, RPA, has over 30 years of experience in the field of Cultural Resource Management and has participated in hundreds of projects across the Southeast. As an Owner and Senior Archaeologist for TerraX, he oversees all phases of archaeological investigations with a specific focus on projects in Louisiana.
Prior to helping found TerraX, Mr. Jackson was Vice President and Regional Manager for Panamerican Consultants Inc. Southeastern region. Additionally, he worked with the Office of Archaeological Research in Moundville, Alabama and with the Alabama Museum of Natural History. Throughout his career, Mr. Jackson has directed and managed intensive surveys with sites up to 50,000 acres and overseen survey, testing, and excavation projects in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, and Virginia.
Mr. Jackson has worked with numerous federal agencies, including the NPS, USACE, and DOTs, and has facilitated consultations with Federally Recognized Tribes. Mr. Jackson received his B.A. and M.A. in Anthropology from the University of Alabama and specifically focuses on lithic technology and the Late Woodland period in the Southeast.
