Brendan Cooper is a Historian and Writer for TerraX. His responsibilities include conducting historical research for Phase II evaluation and Phase III data-recovery mitigations, writing technical reports, and aiding in research design development.
Dr. Cooper received his Ph.D. in US History with a minor in African American History from the CUNY Graduate Center, where his research focused on the nineteenthth century world sugar market and the consolidation of the sugar refining industry in the US. His current research interests include trade and industrial policy, technology transfer, slavery and abolition, and the consolidation of capitalist and state structures. Dr. Cooper has worked as a professional researcher for over seven years and has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in US History, US Labor History, and the History of Technology.
