Lilly Jobe was raised in North Alabama where she quickly gained an appreciation for the abundant cultural resources in her local area. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2023 with her B.A., Honors in Anthropology, High Distinguished Honors, with Honors in Anthropology after completing her Honor Thesis on Pre-Mississippian Rock Art in North Alabama. While completing her coursework, she collaborated with the Pope’s Tavern Museum in Florence, AL to produce an annual children’s program focused on teaching archaeological methodologies and techniques through rotating activities such as excavation, mapping, analysis, and survey. At TerraXplorations, she works at the laboratory in Tuscaloosa as an Archaeological Lab Technician, where she completes artifact processing. From artifact washing and analysis, to data entry and research, she ensures that the Lab Specialists have adequate materials to complete reports, photos, and more. She also assists the Curation Specialist with preparing collections for transport to repositories by rehousing, relabeling, and reorganizing cultural materials.
