Laboratory Specialist

Michael Eichstaedt is an archaeologist with 5 years of experience in the Midcontinental and Southeastern United States.  He has worked for universities and CRM companies in the laboratory and the field. As a laboratory specialist at TerraX’s Tuscaloosa laboratory, Mr. Eichstaedt analyzes artifacts, manages data, contributes to reports, and revises laboratory methods. Eichstaedt has worked with artifacts from Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, and Virginia across all phases of archaeological projects. Although he specializes in lithic analysis, Michael Eichstaedt has experience with ceramics, faunal remains, native copper artifacts, and historic artifacts. His research interests include Great Lakes archaeology, projectile points, raw materials, and the Late Precontact period.
