Thomas Barton began his career in CRM during the fall of 2023 after completing his Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of West Florida. During his time at the university, Mr. Barton specialized in biological anthropology with courses in forensic anthropology and osteology. Additionally, Mr. Barton has completed two field schools. The first was a forensic field school directed by Dr. Allysha Winburn; the other was an archaeology field school directed by Dr. John Worth. Mr. Barton has used these field school experiences in his work at TerraX completing projects in the Florida National Forests and other Southeast states. In his position as a Crew Chief at TerraX, Mr. Barton leads teams and performs field work such as navigation, paperwork, digging, and screening. Mr. Barton has focuses in osteology, southeast Native American pottery, and prehistoric artifacts.
